Cracow City Council Tower
The Tower of the old City Hall is the only part of the Old City Hall of Krakow. It's 75 meters high. The tower has a Gothic style, using bricks and stones to be part of the city hall, it was built in the 14th century. After the demolition of the City Council in 1820, she was as alone as she can see today. As you walk through the door guarded by two Stone Lions you will access the tower, to begin to climb the 110 steps of stone you will find inside. On the first floor of the tower you will find one of the most beautiful Gothic-style spaces in the city. As you continue the climb you will access the upper plants of the tower where you will see the machining of the old clock of the tower, and some photographs that illustrate the past of Krakow. You will have the possibility to look through the small windows of the tower on one of the plants, although by the small of these, the view is not very good. In the basement of the tower were the dungeons of the city, where torture was so horrible and ruthless, which led the interviewees to plead guilty even if they were not. If you want to go up to enjoy the views, it is important to tell you that the climb on the steep stairs becomes a little difficult for some people, so you must have this present when visiting this monument.
