Museum of the Banana

The Plantane Museum opened its doors in 2004 in order to make known to our visitors the world surrounding the production of this fruit in La Palma: its origin, its dietary qualities, the transport from the Canary Islands to the rest of the world, the pests that affect it, the different types of varieties that exist, the process of collection and packaging, the history of which it has witnessed, and a multitude of printed data, together with photographs and images of different kinds, in different information panels.
