Plaza de España

The square of Spain (in Italian Piazza di Spagna) is one of the most famous squares in Rome. It takes its name from the Palace of Spain, the seat of the Spanish embassy to the Holy See and the Order of Malta. In the square stand out the well-known staircase that goes up to the church of Trinità dei Monti and the Baroque Fuente de la Barcaza.
