Potistika beach

Potistika is a picturesque wild beach in Tesalia, which many tourists and the Greeks themselves call one of the best in the vicinity of Pelion. This fantastic beautiful sandy coast is located on the east edge of the mountain, 53 km from Volos and 3 km from the nearest settlement. It can be reached from the city of Argalasti. The road is good and there is organized parking near the coast. The spacious beach is surrounded by picturesque sand rocks and cream tones framed by a contrasting emerald vegetation in the surroundings and in the rocks themselves. The beach is quite wide, covered in golden sand with fine rolling edges, more rocky near the bottom of the sea. A significant part of the shallow waters makes this beach popular for children. The only thing to remember is that the waves in the Potistika are not too high, but frequent and strong, and often wind. Although there is no infrastructure (except for the tavern and the life tower), there are always many tourists on the shore. Among all the wild beaches on the east side of Pelion, it is the most accessible, which also adds attractive. But the play is quite long and you can always find a more private place, especially near the highest coastal cliffs.
