Market Tirso de Molina
The building was created in 1932, following the design of the architect Luis Bellido, also author of the Matadero de Madrid. It was part of the General Plan of Municipal Markets promoted by the Second Republic for the supply of the city. A curious fact is that in its structure you can see remains of impacts of civil war shells. The complex houses several places for sale of fresh products of the day at affordable prices, including carnage, fish, ultramarines, bakeries, fruit and vegetables, as well as a gastronomic space divided into different places. It can be tasted from Greek, Mexican or Spanish dishes to a wide variety of artisan beers that can be taken there, asked to take it or sent home. Recently, the market of Tirso de Molina has been partially rehabilitated, within the comprehensive plan promoted by the City of Madrid for the municipal markets of the capital, with the aim of improving its facilities and services. .
