High MachotaHigh or Pico del Fraile machine. The peaks of the Machota Alta house the most striking canchales, case of the Ball, the Badajo, the Giant Mudo and, especially, the Friar, from which this elevation receives one of its two names (Pico del Frie). Given its isolated configuration in relation to the main alignment of the Sierra de Guadalrama, this mountain has been the subject of a differential erosive action, which has led to the formation of abundant granite bowls, some of which are of great singularity. |
