Torre dell'Orologio

The Torre del Clock or Torre dell'Orogio, located in a corner of Plaza San Marcos, is one of the most interesting buildings to see in Venice. Built in the 15th century in a Renaissance style, as a sign of the wealth and power of Venice, it falls in love with its fantastic astronomical watch of its façade, culminated by a single-floor tower with a sculpture of the Lion of San Marcos. On the upper terrace there are two bronze figures, known as the "Moors," who touch the bell every hour with a few strong fences.
