Stradun
Stradun or the Plate is a way that has the peculiarity that it was originally a channel that separated the two parts of the city. After being completed in the 12th century, Dubrovnik unified in a single territory and the channel became the most important artery in the old city. Its characteristic marble pavement, polished by the millions of steps of the city's inhabitants and the tourists who visit it, is probably its best known feature. The Plate leads to the travellers from the Pile Gate to the Clock Tower. Along the street we will find nice and sunny terraces, as well as all kinds of shops and establishments located in the harmonious buildings that flank it. These constructions were reconstructed after the 17th century earthquake, which explains their homogeneity. .
