Santa Nero beach
The beach owes its unusual name to a flowing spring, where, according to legend, a priest choked many years ago (Pope Nero translates from the Greek as "priestly water"). The beach is quite long (about a kilometer), damaged with small bays and covered with thick sand mixed with small shells. The background is also sandy, sometimes there are areas with small pebbles. It is quite shallow near the shore, the water is turquoise, perfectly transparent. The beach is well-maintained and clean, equipped with everything you need and awarded with the Blue Flag. Here you can cuddle under the canopy of a beach bed, play beach volleyball in one of the numerous sports courtyards, take a walk in water attractions, swim and dive at your will in the Turkish waters of the Aegean Sea. Children can have fun in slides and elastic beds, and for the little ones you can rent swollen pools, rubber rings and mattresses. Another important factor that attracts tourists here is a large and well organized campsite. Here you can spend the night in a tent, trailer and even in a boat, use the kitchen, showers and bathrooms, have free Internet access. In the territory, there are many bars and restaurants, a mini-market and a laundry. Pets are allowed. A convenient asphalt road leads to Papa Nero, which ends in the free parking lot. In the middle of the season and on weekends, there may not be enough space for all who want it, so slow and lazy will have to leave their cars in the neighboring Agios Ioannis and walk to the beach on foot or by bike (there is a bike lane on the promenade).
