Place Saint- Nicolas

With almost 300 m in length, delimited by palm trees and terraces on its west side, this square built in the 19th century is the center of the city. To the south of the square, an imposing statue of Napoleon, dressed in a Roman emperor's robe, directs his look to the sea horizon... A whole symbol: in front of it, less than 50 km away, is the island of Elba. To the south-east of the square, a walk built on a tunnel across the city allows you to reach the old port district walking by the sea.
