Piazza Vecchia
The old square is the heart of Bergamo. He acquired his present appearance between 1440 and 1493. In the center is the Contarini fountain, the Venetian mayor who built it in the 18th century. In the link that limits the square, the Palazzo della Ragione rises; above the balcony made in the 16th century, the Lion of San Marcos recalls the name of the Republic of Venice. It is a very beautiful square and appears right behind a corner, the most important buildings from a city are there.
