Notre Dame du Sablon
Located in the upper part of the city, Notre Dame du Sablon is one of the most beautiful Gothic churches in Belgium. It was built in the 15th century in a Gothic style of Bravante, the same as the Cathedral of San Miguel and Santa Gúdula. The interior of the church is simple and very pleasant, with a certain resemblance to the cathedral but in smaller size. One of the details that especially draws attention is the carved wood pulpit of the year 1697. The central ship is filled with natural light by means of eleven huge windows that reach 15 meters high. Precisely, the most striking thing when entering the church is the windows that surround and illuminate the altar.
