Navigli
Navigli was the main river port of Italy in the late 19th century. The channels that embraced the center of the city were emptied in 1930 and since then the nostalgia of the "Milan of the port" that many could not know, that of the popular houses of stones covered with balconies and stairs, that of the chirping wooden bridges and that of the banks invaded by markets and laundries. The testimony of the past continues today, alive, in Dársena, which unites the two surviving channels, the Naviglio Grande and the Naviglio Pavese, full of water from the Ticino River. Navigli is one of the most vivid nightlife areas in Milan.
