The Little Mermaid

The sirenite is the most famous monument in Copenhagen and all of Denmark. Every day it is photographed by thousands of tourists from all over the world. The sculpture is made of cast bronze. It has a height of 1.25 meters, reaching a weight of 175kg. The author of La Sirenita wanted to take as a model the Danish dancer Ellen Price, star of the Royal Ballet. However, the dancer refused to pose naked for the sculptor, which is why she took her wife as a model. .
