Tartu Cathedral
The building is now an imposing ruin with views of the lower city. In the small part that has been renewed now is the museum of the University of Tartu, which the university also uses for great receptions. The construction of the Gothic cathedral on the north side of the cathedral hill probably started in the second half of the 13th century. It was surrounded by a cemetery and the houses of the members of the cathedralicio lobby. The cathedral was dedicated to the Saints Peter and Paul, who were also the patron saints of the city. It was the seat of the Bishop of Dorpat, and one of the largest religious buildings in Eastern Europe. The greatest interest in this site is to get to it, as it is located in the largest park center of tartu. .
