Candelaria

The Menceyes The most famous monument of Candelaria is the sculptural ensemble that represents the nine mencees of Tenerife. Each statue honors one of the nine brothers who were the last Guanchi kings.
Basilica of Our Lord... 4.6 The shrine of the Virgin of the Candelaria is considered Good of Cultural Interest, next to the Dominican Convent and the hermitage of San Blas. The basilica occupies the entire square of the Patron and is the largest and most important temple in Candelaria.

Candelaria is the town where it is still possible to feel the guanche origins of the island.
