Can Anita

Ca n'Anneto, also known as the Anita Bar, is a pilgrimage place to taste a glass of its delicious herbal liquor, which the same family has produced for a century following the traditional recipe. The establishment, in fact, is called Can Pep Benet and was born in 1876 as a store of ultramarines and small bar, so it is one of the oldest active businesses in Ibiza. Josep Noguera Rossello founded it and has since passed from generation to generation. Its great boom, however, occurred in the 1960s, with the arrival of the hippies, who were established mostly in this area and took the Anita as the main meeting point. By also operating as a post office, here came the postal tours that supported the economy of these new neighbors, to whom the Ibicencos knew as a hairdresser. They were sent by their families from the United States and Europe. Anita, the woman who took over the establishment in the 1940s, along with her husband, even called her "mom." He looked after them as children and trusted them with consumptions until they received money. Today it remains in the hands of the same family, with Vicent Marí at the front, and, although Sant Carles has grown significantly, it continues to form the epicenter of the people. His long career and the spirit of reception that has always characterized him led to the award of the Ramon Llull Prize by the Govern Balear in 2006. Its ibicenca herbs, which are made using the traditional method, by maceration of the forest's herbs in an anise base, can be purchased by bottles. Our recommendations Ca n'Anetta's kitchen is simple and affordable. There are tapas on the bar that can be ordered at any time, such as octopus fried, pork fried or bowling, as well as snacks, toast and breakfast dishes. The kitchen chart includes varied salads, pizzas, pasta dishes, tortillas, starry eggs, sardines, shrimp, squid and iron emperor. The carnivores will find everything; from hamburgers to lamb chops, through spikes, steps, intercote... Time The bar is open all day. From October to May, the kitchen works from 12.30 to 16 and from 19 to 24 hours. In summer, continuously, from 12.30 to 24. Months closed Open all year round
