Nivaria Road
The path begins in the square of the City of Matapozuelos, to go along the Avenida de Ramón and Cajal to the Camino de Tondo or del Río. On a wide agricultural track, between fields of cultivation, we will walk to reach the river of Adaja. This point can be unpassable in times of river growth. We continue along the way until we reach the Camino de Santiago de Madrid, whose route we will continue to cross the Adaja through the Piedra Bridge. From this point we will return to Matapozuelos on the Way of Sietechurches, continuing again by a wide track between fields of cultivation. The name of the path refers to the possible location of the Basque city of Nivaria. In the end of Matapozuelos, remains of the second Iron Age and of the Roman era have appeared.
