Bocca della Verità

The Boca de la verto, in Italian the Boca della verità, is a great ancient sculpture of the god of the rivers that is located at the entrance of the Church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin. The legend says that if you tell a lie while you put your hand in the statue's mouth, you will lose your hand! The photo with the hand in the Boca de la truth is one of the most typical photos to do in Rome. It is quite easy to reach from Plaza Venice, on foot or by bus. It's very close to Tiberina Island. .
