Tratoria da Peppina

The restaurant Da Peppina di Renato is located between Forio and Panza in a quiet position on the top of the mountain road Via Bocca, with excellent views of the sea and the countryside. This nice and cozy restaurant has a unique vintage rustic style, decorated with ancient objects like old bed headers used as banks, old lamps, hand-made wicker baskets, balds and stone-carved sculptures. Here you can find the famous Ischia rabbit dish "Coniglio all'Ischitana" (cooked in the traditional style using the original mud frying pan) and many other special dishes such as mixed Bruschetta (with sausage, mushrooms cream, cheese or beans), pumpkin flowers filled with ricotta cream, "Polpette Saracene" (meatballs), ravioli filled with nut cream, shingles with mushrooms, soups and brasa meats. Special mention is worth the delicious desserts and cakes, made at home by Michela, the famous pastry shop.
