Tsipouradiko

To Tsipouradiko is one of the most popular and authentic dining venues in Corfu Old Town. Its concept is based on a mezes (Greek tapas) bar designed to be shared in the center of the table, where customers themselves write down their order on a handwritten piece of paper. It features a charming outdoor patio under the trees, live Greek music several nights a week, and traditional spirits such as tsipouro and ouzo. It offers excellent value for money, although as it does not accept reservations it is advisable to arrive early to avoid waiting. RECOMMENDED DISHES: • Beef in Tomato Sauce with Yogurt ? Tender beef stew served with tomato sauce and Greek yogurt. ★ Considered the star specialty of the house, it stands out for the tenderness of the meat and its balanced combination of flavors. • Feta with Honey and Sesame ? Block of crispy fried feta cheese, covered in sweet honey and sesame seeds. ★ It stands out for its crunchy texture and its excellent contrast between the salty touch of the cheese and the sweetness of the honey. • Pork Mustard ? Slow-cooked pork cubes in a creamy mustard sauce. ★ Highly recommended for the juiciness of the meat and the rich, honeyed flavor of its homemade sauce.
