The Roof

The Roof at the PUBLIC hotel is one of the newest rooftop bars in New York, and also has one of the best views. Located on the Lower East Side, it is now the only rooftop bar in the area. The views of Downtown and Midtown are therefore unique. The Roof has two terraces and a covered bar. It also offers 360-degree panoramic views. From here, you can see all the high buildings in Manhattan, including the Empire State Building and the One World Trade Center. These views make the sunset from The Roof an experience. Between 5 and 7 am it is quite easy to enter, without having to comply with a very strict clothing code. Later, and especially during the weekends, it's one of the city's fashion places, so it'll be harder for you to pass. When you get to the hotel PUBLIC don't take the mechanical stairs you'll see. Instead, take the elevators from behind, which will take you to The Roof.
