Souvlaki
The souvlaki is a popular dish of Greek cuisine consisting of small pieces of meat interspersed with vegetables and dressing. It is eaten with your hands, inside a pita bread or with a spike on a plate with chips or pilaf. Lamb, pig, vaccine or chicken meat are usually used. The meat is placed in a spiedo, spiedo or vertical gyro that rotates, slowly cooking it as it passes alternately in front of the heat source.
