Serra Devassa
Home path PRC-5 SMIPRC5 SMI Serra Devassa is a 4.0 km circular path with light traffic located near Relva, Azores, Portugal. It has a lake and is good for all skill levels. The path offers a number of business options and is accessible all year round. |
Lagoa de Eguas |
Pico de Eguas |
This path begins and ends near the Canário Lagoon and has an approximate duration of 2h. It traverses the entire area of Sierra Devassa, where the largest number of lagoons on the island of San Miguel is located. In addition to the above-mentioned Laguna de Canário, you will find the Laguna de Eguas, Laguna Rasa and Laguna de Carvão, among others. We also call your attention to an aqueduct (called "Wall das Nove Janelas") that has served to transport water to Ponta Delgada, and that can be seen next to the Pau Pique Lagoon. The signs easily indicate the way to go. However, on this route, which takes place at an altitude of between 750 m and 900 m, the frequency of fog is common. For this reason, we recommend its implementation in the period February to October.
