Praha Hlavni Nadrazi

It was inaugurated in 1871 and named Františka Josefa in honor of Francisco José I of Austria. During the period of the Republic (1918- 1939) the station was called the Wilson Station (in honor of the President of the United States Woodrow Wilson). The interior of the station offers Art Nouveau style halls that were designed in 1909 by Czech architect Josef Fanta. The current connection to the metro station (Hlavní nádraží - Line C) was built between 1972 and 1979.
