City Hall Square
The easiest way to start a route through Tartu is in its central City Hall Square, as it houses some of the most interesting buildings and has relatively close to the main points of interest. The most outstanding construction is the one that gives it the name, the City Council. The current building dates from 1780 and is the third of its kind in the same location. It has a clock with 34 bells that sounds every day at 9: 00, 12: 00, 15: 00, 18: 00 and 21: 00. In the City Hall itself is the Tourist Office. There they will give you different maps and brochures with which to prepare the visit to Tartu.
