Kitroplatia beach

It is an urban beach, the most central of Agios Nikolaos right next to the port and the city centre. Organized and with stunning views of the mountains of Sitia. By the beach there are many restaurants and cafes. Its name comes from the Cydro, a fruit that in the past played an important role in the commercial activity of Agios Nikolaos; the great lastras that were used to carry the fruit on the ships are still seen.
