Playa de Le Fumarole

This beach, which takes its name from the vapours that emanate from the underground volcanic activity of the area, is known for the healing properties of its hot sand. The inhabitants of the area also use it to cook food under the earth and, since it can reach high temperatures during the day, many come to the beach at night to enjoy their therapeutic warmth under the moonlight. Le Fumarole is just ten minutes' walk from the fishing town of Saint'Angelo and the Thermal Gardens of Aphrodita.
