Ducal Palace
The Ducal Palace, located at one end of the Plaza San Marcos and built in the 9th century, is one of the most impressive palaces in Europe and one of the most beautiful places to visit in Venice. In addition to carefully observing its fantastic 15th-century façade, which combines elements of the Gothic, Renaissance and Byzantine style, it is worth entering into its interior to see jewels such as the Scala dei Giganti, the Scala d'Oro, the Duque's apartment, the armory and above all, the Hall of the Grand Council, in which "The Paradise" is exposed, the world's largest canvas. From the Ducal Palace you will be able to cross the famous Bridge of the Whispers, which is said to be named after the last breath of open air given by the prisoners when crossing and accessing the prisons. As a curiosity we will tell you that one of the cucumbers escaped the most famous lover in the world: Casanova.
