Schoenbrunn Palace
Built in the 17th century, the Schönbrunn Palace (Schloss Schönbrunn) is the huge summer residence used by the imperial family. During the tour of the palace, the audio guide in Spanish (including the entrance) will accompany you by narrating many interesting details about the different events that took place in the palace during the time when the court enjoyed its full splendor. The rooms, decorated in a rococo style, draw attention to their sumptuosity, such as the official rooms, or to the simplicity of the rooms that belonged to Francisco José and the empress Isabel. Some of the most striking rooms of the palace are the Grand Gallery, used to celebrate the imperial banquets, the Circular Chinese Hall, used by Maria Teresa to hold private conversations with her chancellor, the Breakfast Hall, used for such a fine, or the Blue Chinese Hall, which saw Charles I abdicate in 1918. The Schönbrunn Palace, along with the Hofburg, are practically essential visits when it comes to meeting Vienna. The museum offers several options when buying tickets, each of which gives access to different areas within the museum's compound, such as private gardens or maze.
