Mirador da Ponta da Madrugada

The Miradouro da Punta da Madrugada, as well as being an excellent place to watch the sun rise is an excellent place to go for picnic, do a small hiking route or just walk with the first rays of the sun. When you walk through the door you realize it's more than just a lookout. A tree full of vegetation gives way to a beautiful garden. You continue along the way and find a barbecues space with tables and stone chairs. Finally and approaching the edge of the parade you find the lookout with truly spectacular views. All this accompanied by the intense green color of the mountains to the bottom. But it doesn't end here. On the right side you find a stone path that takes you under the lookout, all full of green moss where you also find small hiding places with tables and stone chairs to find your moment of tranquility while taking the picnic. One can enter the small paths and contemplate the majesty of the landscape that opens before our eyes. It is a few kilometres from the town of Northeast, passing the first lighthouse built on the island called Farol Punta de Arnel. The Miradouro da Punta da Madrugada is certainly one of the most amazing places to contemplate the views of the east coast of the beautiful Green Island of Sao Miguel. A must that must not be left on the agenda to spend a magnificent day in the open air.
