Abasto market

Strolling one morning at the Municipal Market of Jávea (Alicante) is equivalent to a gastronomic visit to the region of the Marina Alta. Located next to the church-fortress of San Bartolomé, declared a National Artistic Monument in 1931, the building of the Levin Gothic style rose shortly after the end of the Civil War on the grounds on which an old convent of the 17th century had been melted. Here many of the merchants of the municipality were installed, such as the 'Santaereu' fishery, Gertrudis la verdulera or Marieta la coixa.
