The Farallions
The pharallions are one of Capri's main symbols. There are three large rock masses that are located near the coast of Capri, immersed in the blue, and can be reached by boat. The highest Farallion is 109 meters high, while the farallion in the middle is crossed by a natural cave that can be carried by boat. The name "Faraglioni" (in Italian) comes from the Greek Pharos, and it is due to the fact that they were used as headlights, as large fires were lit to point the route to the sailors. Each of the Capri's Farallions has a name: the closest to the continent is called Saetta, the middle one is called Stella and the most external: Scopolo.
