Funicular Marina Grande Station

The Capri funicular connects the port of Marina Grande to the centre of Capri (which we remember is located in the center of the island and in height), through a short journey that lasts only three minutes. It usually leaves every 15 minutes, from morning to night, but in the hours of massive tourist inflow the frequency is 5 minutes. The locket is located near the entrance to the port of Capri, on the right, while the entrance to the funicular is just opposite, under a large arch easily recognizable. The locker is located outside in order to facilitate the flow of people and to avoid the formation of too long tails that stop traffic in the port. The ticket costs €1.30 per person and per trip, but there are also valid tickets for all day. The funicular route offers a panoramic view: the first part, before the tunnel where the wagons are crossed up and down you can see the port and the hills. In the second stretch, as we approach the historic center of Capri, you can admire the panorama of the bay of Naples at the bottom.
