The Budapest funicular (Budavari Sikló) is a pleasant means of transport that can be reached from Clark Ádám Ter Square, located next to the Chain Bridge, to the Buda Castle. Opened in 1870, Budapest's funicular was the second to be built in Europe. During the Second World War, the funicular was virtually destroyed, but later it was rebuilt following the original model and the line opened again in 1986. Today the system works perfectly along the steep path that links the Chain Bridge with the top of the city, next to the Buddha Castle. .
