Diamond Beach

Next to the Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon, just across the Ring Road, is the Diamonds Beach or Diamond Beach. Its name is very representative, as on this beach it is possible to see icebergs floating along the Jökulsá River, the shortest in Iceland, until reaching the sea. When there is a low tide, icebergs are trapped on the coast making it possible to walk among these giant ice diamonds.
