Dalt Vila, castle

The old town of Ibiza is known as "Dalt Vila" (the high city, translated from the ibicenco). This city is part of the imposing walls that were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. The walled city was, and is, the center of government, commercial and cultural on the island.
