Chromeh of the Almonds

A cromlech or chronlech is a megalithic monument made up of stones, megalites and / or menhirs nailed to the ground and which take a circular or elliptical form by surrounding a terrain. The Cromlech de los Almendros (in Portuguese Cromeleque dos Almendres), located in the middle of a forest of cork-producing alcornoques, is the most important prehistoric megalithic monument on the Iberian peninsula and one of the most important in Europe, both for its dimensions and for its conservation status, is estimated to be about 8,000 years old.
