Convent two Capuchos
The monastery, named Convent of Santa Cruz dos Capuchos in its origin, was built by Alvaro de Castro, son of the viceroy of the Indias, in the 16th century. Through a narrow corridor we will find the cells, very small rooms with a space in the rock to sleep (we see, by their size, that monks could not even sleep stretched, which gives an idea of the very harsh living conditions they imposed).
