Palermo Cathedral

The Palermo Cathedral is located in the homonymous city of Sicily (Italy). Strong oriental style due mainly to its inner courtyard full of palm trees. It was first a Byzantine basilica, on which, in 1185, the Archbishop of Palermo ordered the building of a basilical temple with three apses. The bishop wanted to compete with the beauty and power of the Cathedral of Monreale. The palermitana cathedral has been reformed over time, with splendid improvements, such as the 3 arches portico, with aragonese influence.
