Beginning in 1396, it was continued during the Renaissance and ended in 1740, it presents a facade decorated with profusion from 1484 by the Rodari brothers, also authors of the northern cover called "de la Rana." The façade is flanked by two Renaissance statues representing Plinio the Old and Plinio the Young. The interior is of Gothic architecture, with a Latin cross structure and mainly Renaissance decoration. On the right ship are canvases of Bernardino Luini and G. Ferrari. Located in the façade is the City Hall, an old communal palace, built in the 13th century, with supports on the ground floor and beautiful triple windows on the upper floor. The church is crowned with a rococo-style dome, designed by Filippo Jusara.
