Castle of Argüeso

The castle of Argüeso was the emblem and fortress of the lordship of the house of Mendoza in the highlands of Campóo. Built on a small hill, composed of two towers and a central body that unites them, and surrounded by a wall that closes the courtyard of arms, Argüeso represents the most outstanding and ancient example of the Puerto Rican castle of Cantabria.
