There are several areas where these boilers are concentrated, and one of them is by the lake of Furnas. In addition, some streams are running around with hot water, leaving an orange color that dyes the whole course, showing the high amount of iron they drag. There are also many sources, some coming out hot water and others cold. Here by the lake of Furnas is where the famous' cozido àfurnas' is made.
