Ca na Costa

With 4000 years of history, this megalithic tomb continues to lock up a number of questions. These archaeological remains suggest that it is a funeral construction of a religious character and show that Formentera was populated between the 1900s and 1600 BC. It consists of an access corridor, a main chamber that was used as a tomb, and a containment ring, around which another circle of symmetrical slabs and radically arranged, which have been given the name of Es Rellange by its arrangement similar to that of a sun clock. After examining the exhumed human remains of the tomb, archaeologists discovered that one of the men who was buried there was about 1.90 m. (ctra. from La Savina to Es Pujols)
