Basilica of Our Lady of Sameiro

The temple is surrounded by a park with fountains, chapel of devotees, buildings to support the sanctuary such as the House of the Stamps, the house of the Rector and toilets. The neoclassical-style church has the shape of a Latin cross, culminating in a dome, to which you can climb, and two towers with bells. Inside, the main altar of white granite with the image of the Virgin Mary. Below the church there is a huge crypt in which mass masses are organized. Once out you have to go down the stairs and pass by the two huge monolites with the statues of the Virgin Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus and look from there at the wonderful views of Braga at a height of 566 meters. Even if it were only for these, it would be worth going up. .
