Covadonga Basilica

This Neorromic-style temple, built in 1884 with pink limestone and on its facade flanked by two towers, opens a three-arched porch inspired by the architecture of the Assyrian prerromic. From the basilica there is a wonderful view of the Holy Cave. And in front of it are some beautiful gardens and another of the most photographed places of the place, the bronze statue of Pelayo, the first monarch of the kingdom of Asturias.
