Ovar

This town is a museum in the open sky of the tile. Its extraordinary collection of bluish facades are counted by hundreds only in the historical center, as its freguesias also accumulate a good handful of ceramic panels that shine full color under the Atlantic sun. The Obaran emigrants enriched in Brazil returned to their land and built their houses covering them with the most striking ceramics, thus showing their new status. This beautiful competition has left a remarkable heritage in Ovar, which can now be discovered with a circular route marked with tile pieces that part of the conistory building and passes through iconic places.
