Isla de Euboea

(Mantoudi · Central Greece)

Euoea, formerly called Negoponte by the Venetian, is an island where the south is arid and struck with rough mountains and deep throats. The flora is very scarce and is characterized mainly by thorny bushes and cactus. The north, on the other hand, is very green. The landscape of Eubea is composed of fertile valleys and plateaus. It is covered by extensive pine pine, pine and banana forests. In addition, you see green fields and magnificent waterfalls. The air is filled with a nice smell of rosemary and thyme. The island is usually very mountain. With heights up to 1,800 meters. Its highest peaks are the Dirfi (1,745 m), Pyxaria (1,341 m) and Ochi (1,394 m) mountains. It is also worth seeing the many sandy beaches and pebbles in the form of a half-moon around the island. The sea is crystal clear and has a deep blue to emerald color. The popular beaches are Aidipsos, Istiaia and Rovies Baech in the north, Eritrea, Kalamos and Levkanti Beach in the center and Marmari, Mesochoria and Zarakon Beach in the south.
