Tapia de Casariego

(Tapia de Casariego · Principality of Asturias)

The tides and waves are part of their intense landscape. It is Tapia de Casariego, a coastal municipality in the west of Asturias, famous for the quality and beauty of its beaches - Serantes, La Paloma, Mexota, Santa Gadea, Penarroda or San Blas, among others -; for its excellent marine gastronomy, for its stories of fishermen and sailors; for its looks, for its baskets that look at the sea, or for its palaces and houses that are blasphemed as that of Campos or that of Cancio... The town of Tapia, the capital of the council, has a pleasant promenade, with some other viewpoint, with a very charming port full of houses that we want to hang on the sea, and with its bars. And to add a point of 'hippysm' and modernity is the beach of Anguileiro, well known for the surf championship that has been held there for decades. In addition there is the lighthouse, old, and located on an islet that is connected to land by a dam, which gives it a different air... the same one that has the hidden lagoons of Salave, formed artificially by the exploitation of an ancient Roman mine.
